LouvainTransfer is the knowledge transfer office of UCLouvain.
Our mission ? Facilitate the translation of research outcomes into effective means towards economic, social and societal value creation.

👉 For researchers: LouvainTransfer provides active support for translating discoveries into impactful innovations. This effort includes the negotiation of licensing agreements with industrial partners, the creation of spin-off companies, or the implementation of other valorization models (open dissemination, public-interest structures, …) to ensure that research results will generate tangible societal impact.

👉 For companies, associations, and public administrations: LouvainTransfer serves as the main gateway towards the expertise of UCLouvain scientists. It facilitates collaboration with researchers, accelerates the access to knowledge and advanced technologies, and fosters the establishment of innovative and impactful partnerships.

LouvainTransfer relies on a multidisciplinary team comprising scientific experts in valorization, project funding advisors, specialists in intellectual property and patent management, legal professionals, and experts in business management and investment.

Through the combined expertise of the Research Administration (ADRE) and Sopartec—UCLouvain subsidiary for knowledge transfer and investment— the entire process is master with a high level of professionalism, from the emergence of an idea to its deployment on the market or in society.
